We accept the period B.C (Before Christ). We also accept A.D (Anno Domini) means 'in the year of lord'. I sit true that these day's are in the year of god? There is a devil hidden in each one of us. Knowigls or unknowingly the devil raises his head at times. We see this situation in the day to day life -- the war, terrorism, degradation of democracy so on and so forth.
Facing this, the author planned to write a story from the so called A.D 0 to this present state of 2000 A.D - from those years of god to these years of devil. his long time span of time can be narrated only by a tree. That might be the reason the author aptly selected a tree to demonstrate the events. A gentle tree who is bold enough to tell the facts as fiction, that tree is Mr. Banyan. Though the Benyan tree is sacred one, it seemed that the writer had advised the tree not to hurt any bodys feelings and treet each and every charaecter in this novel indiscriminately. Mr. Banyan rendered the obeyed the order of the auther precisely and perfectly till his perinial period.
Undoubtedly, Mr. A.K.B. Kumar, the author is a great reader. Histories of the past and the present are by hart to him. He accessed the major mythologies of the world. The god blessed him to render his maiden venture to this sky level.
his imaginary autobiagraphy of Mr. Banyan is the novel named 'In The Year of Devil'. Though the time, place, the animate and inanimate articles and charectors in the this fantacy fication are pure imaginary and they are very much familiar with the reader. As an in charge of Woman Cell, i hace to flatter the novel for the writter has magnified Woman as a universal mother. For me this unique novel is a fantastic fiction.

How could a man predict the exact happenings that are occouring in Afghanistan? The search for Osama, the Wagon Tragedy -- suffocation of Thalibanis -- so on and so forth. The author even precisely picturised the surrendering and the trail of the religious leader Billa (in the novel) who resembles Bin Laden. Bisides theses many more current political senerio -- the drama performed by the self-made-military -executive Pervez Musharraf (Mr. Crow Black in the novel) plus the recent terrorist encounter drama in the indian parlement house is exactly foretold in the beautiful novel.
In the novel 'In The Year of Devil', the author A.K.B. Kumar creaed an imaginary globe for telling a story of 2000 years. He details a Banyan tree to narrate it. The readers indeed would love the tree profouldly.
Actually the novel is a blend of the three major religous texts of the world ie. The Bible, Koran and Gita. You can't expect the multitude who believes in Gita will respect Koran and Bible; you can't expect the multitude who believes in Koran will respect Bible and Gita; uou can't expect the multitude who believes in Bible will respect Koran and Gita. But if all this multitudes inbibe exactly the author's ideas, they would rather welded to one. There by a unique unity from diversity would occure unanimously.
The content is a global subject normally a novel has a perimeter or limited to the circumuircle of a family or a socity. Percontra, this covers the stoties of myraids. Or in other words, the interactions of three nations, three religions, three political parties. But all on fake names and addresses.
Most of the religions consider the trinity concept. Here the author extblishes the atom as the trinity -- Neutron, Proton and Electron. God, as we all know has no shape, no cast, no creed, no sex, ....Go is omnipotent and omnipresent. The only such phenomenon we feel is the electron. Electron is in iron as well as in rust. Electron is energy. Electron is the power. Electron helps us if we respect Them. He distroys if we snub him. It have no discrimination. Who so ever switch it on, it will help. So electron is the real god.
I am certain that if the reader assimilate this novel, it would bring harmony and peace.

Other than 'In The Year Of Devil', he is the author of another two books. The Novel L2P3 --Let Lie, Lust, Property, Power and Pleasure Prevail -- in the climax of the novel, the readers will realise that Love and Peace are only his needs. The third book is "The Third Eye". It is with regards to the super power hidden within each and every human being. In case of emergency, he opens it to lead either war or peace ad per his need.
