'IN THE YEAR OF DEVIL' a novel in English written by one Sri. A.K.B. Kumar and published by M/s. Pen Books, Aluva, offends the religious feelings of most of the religion in the world on fake names. This may even tend to jeopardise the peace and religious amity prevailing in the state. This book contains many objectionable remarks on the charecters resembling Hindu Gods, Christian Saints and Holy scriptures of the three major religions. ie, the author's demand on the front cover page is false. There are falsifying remarks againest prominent personalities from different walks of life. The book denounces not only the higher castes but also the lower castes, creed and coloured throughout. A good portion of the book contains obscene references and vulgar sex scenes.
This book portrays our mother earth as a prostitute, fraud and liar. It defames the womanhood as well as the whole mankind. The author did not spare even the faunas and floras.
Both the author and the publisher are liable to be banned. Otherwise this book would spoil and mislead the generation.
We hubmly reguest your honour to take necessary steps to ban this English Novel 'IN THE YEAR OF DEVIL'
